New Live Club Staccato Cd Available

New LIVE CD Available!
I've got a new compact disc for the offering which you can order here http://clubstaccato.com/music.html.

This is not the same one we started last summer with a strict five week time-line that was unexpectedly decimated by an agonizing bout of shingles. No. That one, to be titled Bric-à-Brac, is still under construction because I have had way too much time to listen to it and get all kinds of picky. With that said I am still excited about the songs slated for it and it's not too far from completion. More on that some other time.

Today's LP was recorded live with my Austin-based band Club Staccato, which I started with world-class guitarist David Hamburger. Every track was recorded during our weekly run at the now defunct Strange Brew (RIP). Performances from our first and last shows made the cut as well as a few from in between. One of the tracks, Around the Block, I have been playing live for a few years though it has never been on an album.

For a multiplicity of reasons we decided against selling it on the usual download and streaming sites. No itunes, Pandora or Spotify for this one. If you want it you have to get it the old fashioned way by either coming to a show or ordering the CD directly from our website through paypal / you can use a debit/credit card even of you don't have a Paypal account and we don't see your personal info. Order yours here for $13 / this includes s/h  / http://clubstaccato.com/music.html / Link to the song list and liner notes: http://clubstaccato.com/album-cover.html

If you are the 'must taste before you buy' type of consumer then you can hear and see a couple of the performances on Youtube including, I Believe, a marvelous song written by David. It's one of my favorites actually. There's more of the same on this channel. https://youtu.be/iV-Df8Wd99U

If you are in the Austin area you can catch us doing what we do at El Mercado Backstage every Thursday night. The vibe is great and so is the food. We start at 8pm but be sure to get there at 6:30 for The Dave Scher Trio / This guy is an absolute master of the guitar, writes greats songs and his singing would make most birds jealous. See both bands for $10.
